Mission Statement: Building a Spirit-filled family to worship God and to make disciples locally and globally
What are the core values of Living Faith Chapel?
- Gospel-driven - We are Gospel-driven because we belong to Jesus Christ, our Savior and our hope, and believe that the message of Jesus Christ alone has the power to change and transform lives. We proclaim and celebrate the message of Christ in our corporate worship, and we hope to faithfully apply the message of Christ in our private lives.
- Reformed-minded - We are Reformed-minded because we are a part of that historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the Reformation. We are committed to the principle of Scripture alone, believing that the inspired Word of God is our only guide for faith and life. We are committed to the principle of grace alone, believing that our salvation comes from God alone through faith alone because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone. We are also committed to be Presbyterian, believing that the church is to be led by a plurality of elders as taught in Scriptures.
- Worship-centered - We are worship-centered because we believe that God created and redeemed us for the very purpose of worship. We realize our lives are not to be centered on ourselves, but on God. Worship is central to our ministry and we hope that as a family of God we grow in joy as worshipers.
- Context-focused - We are context-focused because God taught us to be his people in the world. We seek to display the glories of God in community in our fellowship that images the communion of the Triune God, in our evangelism that proclaims the joy of salvation in Christ, and in our mercy ministries that share the love of God in Christ.
- Covenantal - We believe God has made his covenant of grace with both believers and their children. Therefore, the covenant has a family-focused orientation. Thus, we desire to faithfully receive and pass on the promises of God from generation to generation in our worship and in our practice.
